Program:Food Service Program
Description:Program Description: BRC’s Food Service Program provides nutritious meals to several of the agency’s other housing and day treatment programs. The program also caters special events such as BRC graduations and reunions. The Food Service Program provides training and supervision for interns in the BRC Horizons Workforce Development program through a six-week Food Service Training program that assists trainees to obtain their NYC Food Handlers Certificate. Participants in this program are eligible for a Safe Serve certificate with additional training.

Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Wednesday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm
Saturday and Sunday 11:00am-7:30pm
Duties:Prepare, serve and clean-up after meals. Responsible for sanitation related to meal preparation. Assist with ordering and inventory. Responsible for proper storage of food and other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:Ability to read and write English. Minimum of two years experience cooking for groups of 20 or more. Knowledge of NYC health regulations related to food service. NYC Food handler certificate required. High School diploma or GED preferred. TB clearance required.
