|Description:||Program Description: Located in Sara Delano Roosevelt Park, the BRC Senior Center provides three meals a day, five days a week for marginally housed medically frail and chronically ill seniors. In addition to meals, the Senior Center offers its clients a wide variety of recreational activities and health care services including ESL classes, exercise groups and health education seminars. Participants are also able to access the full array of services developed and sponsored by BRC. The program is primarily funded through NYC Department for the Aging.|
|Duties:||Responsible for the overall day to day operations and coordination of food service. Serve 3 meal and clean-up. Coordinate work of kitchen volunteers. Establish and maintain sanitary conditions in kitchen. Record and maintain safe and accurate meal temperatures, assuring quality. Assist with ordering and maintain inventory. Related duties as assigned.|
Part Time, 25 hours per week
Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 1:00pm
|Qualifications:||Must have NYC Food Handler’s license. Must be familiar with industrial kitchen equipment. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Ability to read, write, and speak English. Bilingual in Chinese a plus.|
