|Description:||Located at our new 200-bed Assessment shelter in Greenpoint Brooklyn.|
For the past 40 years, BRC is where people change their lives. We are one of New York City’s largest and most comprehensive social services agencies. We house over 1,500 people daily, and serve nearly 9,000 individuals annually. We help the neediest of New Yorkers overcome the challenges in their life – addiction, physical and mental illness, histories of unemployment, incarceration and homelessness – and empower those we serve to reclaim their dignity, self-confidence and independence. BRC is where people come to change their lives, and our programs and staff enable that change to happen. Our guiding philosophy is to offer a hand-up, not a hand-out; helping people to help themselves and thereby helping them achieve lasting solutions.
What are the benefits at BRC?
Full time employees receive a generous benefits package:
Employees can choose from 3 different health/dental plans. Coverage is available for your spouse, domestic partner and dependents.
In addition, employees receive a minimum of 3 weeks paid vacation, 11 paid holidays, and additional paid sick and personal time.
To encourage our employees to save for retirement, we offer a 403(b) pension plan with a matching benefit paid by BRC.
We also offer tuition assistance and many training opportunities for career development.
Flexible spending accounts (FSAs) are available so employees can set aside pre-tax dollars for healthcare, transit and childcare
