Description:Program Description: BRC began operating its newest program, the Jack Ryan Residence, in August 2011. The Jack Ryan Residence, funded by the NYC Department of Homeless Services, is a 200-bed shelter for homeless men living with mental illness. The program provides a complete range of mental health stabilization, medication management, case management, and medical services aimed at moving residents into permanent housing. The ultimate goal of the program is to place its clients into appropriate, supportive housing within nine months.

Duties:POSITION: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

PROGRAM/UNIT: Jack Ryan Residence

HOURS: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Flexible Schedule

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Patient evaluation and treatment, medication management, case conferencing and in-service training to the staff. Provide input into the incident review committee and training committee as well as outside conferences. Provide emergency first aid/CPR assistance when needed. Related duties assigned. Report to the Medical Director.

QUALIFICATIONS: NYS Certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. Have prior experience working with a MICA population. CPR training certification or willingness to take training class in CPR.
